Collin is an 8 year old boy who unfortunately has to go through a terrible thing that is Cancer. Below is a little bit of a story about who his story and his diagnosis that his mom sent to me

    Hello there my name is Megan and my 8 yr old Collin is being treated at CCMC for a second time battling Ewing sarcoma. I’m actually sitting in thew hospital writing this as he receives chemo.  Collin was first diagnosed in march’22 and he spent months in the hospital and multiple surgeries on his lungs where the tumor formed. Legos were the only thing that kept him busy during our long stays of chemo. He and I together have built so many cool things but it became expensive and I had to stop buying them. Unfortunately he relapsed Dec ‘23 and we are back to chemo and radiation this time up in Boston. 

    We just took an our first family vacation last week (that was gifted to us through Tommy’s Place. We were thankful that our doctors made it work for us as I am a single mom (also have a 16 yr old) and I am unable to work with all his medical needs, so would never been able to afford a real vacation.  Collins loved this vacation and was able to see a lighthouse up close for the first time on cape cod.  I would love to be able to get him the motorized lighthouse as a memory of his first vacation and all the memories that were made together as a family.

Collin was actually the first person that I was able to help deliver legos to and I was lucky enough to meet him in the hospital and take some pictures with him. I had a wonderful time talking to him and his mother and loved watching the smile on his face as I delivered the lego set to him.
